I hope their civil works for them. Most in Al will not accept this gay civil union on any level.

The next step is some will sue a Baptist / Catholic / Lutheran or Bible base Church, because the Pastor refuses to marry the Same Sex Couple.

This has gone way to far!
Again, most people are irreligious in this Country, which is the reason the majority of people aren't up in arms over this. This belief that the Christian majority is being oppressed just isn't true because most people don't find religion that important. And as I have also said before, the Supreme Court has ruled several times on ministerial exception to anti discrimination laws.

In your dreams, we are not a christian based country, we are not a theocracy and the 1st gives freedom to all religions, not just you christians that hide behind it while discriminating using your bibles. No church is required to marry anyone for any reason they choose, that is why when the bans on interracial marriage were abolished, it was not forced on any church. All marriages are civil marriages.

You can't seem to get a lot of ring wingers to understand the difference between being religiously Christian and culturally Christian.

Actually, it's going just about right.

However, if it makes you feel better, I do think that a church is free to refuse to perform a SSM. AFAIK, no pastor has ever been successfully sued for refusing to perform a marriage that his/her religion opposes. I believe catholic churches still refuse to perform marriages between divorced people. I'm good with that.

First Amendment. First Commandment. Pick one, because you can't have both.

I beg to differ.
The Founding Fathers bases Christian Believes in most of the Documents that this country was founded on. The Christian Movement is growing everyday, but you choose to keep your eyes wide shut. The reason why you have used words "You Christians and one of your Favorites , Bigots" is you oppose any who has a Christin Value system and for the life of you cannot figure it out. Even if we lose a business or we go thru some trial, you can shake our belief in the Word.

We hide from nothing and I for one have engaged your crazy talk insulting everyone that opposes your point of view. Believe or not the Good Lord is using your point to raise awareness to this destructive behavior as he used Pontus Pilot to grow the early church. Imagine that!

My point is some gay couple will feel thy do not have "equal Protection" and will sue there way into a Church of God. The gay movement have destroyed businesses because people stick to their Beliefs. Gay movement continues , as a protected class while discriminating against all others who oppose by radical means. This Movement has developed into some more than whom you sleep with. (I do not care)

Christians have rights too. Respect goes both ways.

We have an on going battle of Ideals and Faith. Previous post and you have proven that you refuse to look at both sides of a important issue.

Civil Unions are for benefits and this is of mans laws. Period! The Good People of Al. may have a different view.

This is correct statement. Most Churches have the Civil Right to turn down Marriage Ceremonies., if it does not meet Church Doc. Most churches required marriage classes to make the Man /Woman the tools to have a strong marriage.
No one is arguing that point.

My point is some or the national LBGT may wish to take this battle down the road. That's all.
