Of course I did....I guess he never thought about insulating his water pipes....It would be a lot cheaper than replacing them every time the weather gets cold.
They are insulated. R-30. However, they're below the first floor and above the weather-exposed underpinning on a house on pilings, 14 ft above sea level. And I'm far from being the only one around here having this problem.
It's all about the science, not bleeding-heart liberals' "feelings."
What is funny is that you blame it on regulations instead of doing the sensible thing....Insulate your water system.
That is why it's called climate change...Some areas will get warmer, while others will get colder...Some will be wetter, while others will be dryer....You will need to adapt.

Oh wow, you're a genius.
You've managed to completely misinterpret a basic abstract, reading it as if the paper is suggesting that the planet is cooling instead of being a study on the cooling effects of volcanism.
Look at the first line, professor:
Quote:
The relatively muted warming of the surface and lower troposphere since 1998 has attracted considerable attention.
And 'liberals' are saying the ocean, NOT surface or lower troposphere, is where the majority of warming is taking place.
So how do you 'feel' about that?
But the real question here is whether or not the fact that the paper supports warming means that it is now part of the liberal conspiracy to ruin your life.
What is funny is that you blame it on regulations instead of doing the sensible thing....Insulate your water system.
It IS insulated. I already stated such.

So... what do you expect the government to do about the volcanic eruptions that are currently causing global cooling? Pass a law against them? LOL!

Straight from the article:
Quote:
"...an increase in volcanically induced coolingover the early 21st century."
YouTube isn't a scientific journal. When the claims of denialists such as yourself and the superstitious liar Inhofe are supported by the facts, that's when they'll be worth listening to.
Straight from the articleo you not understand what the 21st century is?
I really hope that you figure this out this time, if only so you can switch to some other lame denier argument.
Here's a link to an article that explains a similar study in more basic terms. It's not the same paper, but it has most of the same authors, studying the same phenomenon over the same time frame:
According to a new study, published in the journal Nature Geoscience, volcanoes are the reason the average rate of warming dropped from .31 degrees Fahrenheit per decade between 1970 and 1998 to .072 degrees Fahrenheit per decade between 1998 and 2012.
Get it?
The average rate of warming.
WARMING.
That means the planet is getting warmer.
If it is getting warmer at a slower rate, it is still WARMING.
Quote:
This “muted surface warming” was the result of a series of 17 small volcanic eruptions, beginning in 2000, that spewed enough aerosols into the atmosphere to explain the disparity between climate change models and actual warming trends.
2000-present-- the 21st century... and there's that whole 'warming trend' thing again.
The climate is made up of different influences-- some of them are responsible for cooling (aerosols from volcanoes) and some of them are responsible for warming (CO2 emissions). 'Volcanically induced cooling' refers to the effect of volcanic aerosols on the warming trend, NOT a trend in the overall climate of the planet.
So once again, how does this make you feel?
Is it a liberal plot?
