feminists are as individual as each woman is. their opinions will vary.
You can be sure that if Caitlyn introduced herself baking a cake or playing Barbie dolls with little girls, or any number of things and I have a feeling she'd be less welcome into womynhood by many who praise her. IMO.
[quote=Cryinbaby;39995872]Here is an article on Caitlyn Jenner's autogynephilia with Michael Bailey, a psychologist at Northwestern who has written extensively about the topic.
I am not the least bit offended. I happen to not be a femenist. I actually really wanted to know if women who are self-identified as feminist activists had publicly reacted to what seems to be an obvious discrepency between what they believe defines a woman & what Jenner promotes as being a woman. I did not think it would have to be spoon-fed! My mistake.
I did kept searching & it didn't take long to get an answer: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/07/op...oman.html?_r=0
I fully understood your question and gave an honest answer, no need to get snarky.
IMO, anyone who takes Caitlyn's "debut" as an insult to women or some kind of statement about women's rights is going way out of their way to be offended, which seems to be the popular thing to do these days.
And, I say this as a feminist, someone who believes in equal rights for women. In fact, I still have my ERA bracelet from back in the day.

It should be abundantly clear that most of the people who have the biggest problem with Caitlyn are white straight conservative men who are trying to use this to pit feminists and the LGBT community against each other. Which is a fool's errand.
Is Jenner's idea of what "real women" should look like the by-product of having spent 65 years as a man?
Excellent point.

Because Bruce/Caitlyn is not sexy, regardless of what he/she is wearing.
