Only because another Muslim was killed. Actually, probably only because another JORDANIAN was killed. They weren't outraged at the beheadings of anyone else before this guy. Of course, his death was horrific, as were the deaths of others, but they didn't seem too concerned until this...gee, I wonder why.
Just like 99% of people in this country didn't give a **** how many people were dying in Syria the last few years. Ans terrorists have been killing Muslims for decades. A huge majority of their victims are Muslims.
@jojajn, Yes they are; however, the other 4 religions have all evolved for the most part to the point where we don't hear news stories of Hindus beheading non-believers, Christians flying airplanes into buildings, Jews burning people alive in cages, or Buddhists condoning child rape and pedophilia.
Christianity has by far cleaned up more than Islam. Islam is the bloodiest mainstream religion in world history.
Sure if you exclude the Crusades, world wars, the Holocaust, the Napoleonic wars, the Thirty Years War, the Hundred Years War, the conquest of the Americas...do I need to keep going?
The World Wars had to do with nationalism, fascism, and communism, not Christianity. The Crusades also saw the Muslims involved as well--like I said before, the only thing that was really horrible about the Crusades was the murder of innocent Jews who had nothing to do with the conflict. If Muslims didn't invade Europe and persecute non-believers (including Christians), the Crusades wouldn't have happened.
Besides, as Emigrations said, Christianity has cleaned up; Islam hasn't.

Christianity has evolved more and that is by totally disavowing the teachings of the Old Testament. If one believes the Old Testament, the Hebrew god of Christians caused the bloodiest human massacres in the history of mankind. Bible Atrocities: Atrocities in the Bible

As I said earlier, Christianity predates Islam by over 700 years, and Judiasm by millenia. Christians certainly weren't on their best behavior in the Middle Ages. And I'm glad you mentioned nationalism, because that is exactly what motivates ISIS. They want others out of their land.
also known as bacchá (from Dari bacha بچه* "child, young man, calf") or bacha bereesh ("beardless boy"), is a slang term that is commonly used for sexual slavery and child prostitution[1] in which prepubescent and adolescent boys are sold to wealthy or powerful men for entertainment and sexual activities.
Well, good for you! Of course, there are women that are doctors, lawyers, etc. That still doesn't mean that many Muslim women in the Western world are treated badly by the men in their lives.
I've seen it happen in my community among the Muslims. I've got some stories if you want to hear them.

People lived better under Islam than they did under most Christian kingdoms actually. It's one of the reasons they flourished so well, because they encouraged toleration and a mixing of different views. The Muslim forays into Europe *sans Sicily* ended in the early 8th century and the First Crusade didn't happen for over 350 years. Quite a bit of time to avenge all the persecution the Muslims were inflicting, no?
