But you are saying because they are black they deserve to win. If this group voted last year to nominate "12 years a slave" but not "Selma" this year, how are they discriminating against black movies???
12 Years a Slave is not a black movie. It is a Quentin Tarantino movie--last I checked, Quentin Tarantino is white.
There is no "art" to American Sniper or Boyhood. I wonder why the anonymous balloteer chose not to talk about those?

Oh my, we are taking this to a whole new level...12 years a slave is a black movie...it's about slavery, not sure how much more black you can get. The fact Quentin directed it shouldn't even matter because he is white but I guess it does to you.
And art is subjective. From what I heard about Selma the biggest gripe is that it was historically inaccurate.

The ratings come from critics. Probably because 98% of them are liberal.
It has 194/197 positive ratings, that is a pretty decent sign that its good, I would recommend seeing it if you haven't. Furthermore if those rating only have to do with politics and race then why does The Color Purple only have an 88% rating? Are there some critics who think being critical of The Color Purple is ok, but being critical of Selma violates some magical liberal code that only conservatives know about?
