There's a big party going on in Iran. They're thanking Obama while saying "Death to America." The last I knew, Obama was still living in America, unfortunately. They don't even need pages and pages of documentation on what Iran is or isn't planning to do. No signed agreements because, according to Obama, he was told that they wouldn't hurt America. (BIG wink)

Iranians are good people with bad leaders. Most are not anti-American. I wish the best for them (& us).

Hardliners say "death to America." They didn't want the deal, either. They and the GOP are in agreement. The picture in the OP is of ordinary Iranians. They're not the ones saying "death to America." They're probably typing nonsense just like we are. Raising their children. Working. You know, human things. And being human, I doubt they give a rat's ass about "death to America."

Exactly, I have known some people from Iran over the years, they are good people and many of them wish they could go back to their more western culture before the current Iranian government took over.

Unfortunately any change that would happen in Iran would have to come from within because Iranians are very proud people, and if any outside force tried to bring them democracy, they would all band together to fight off the invading force.

Well, thanks. I'm glad to hear that it's not all of them who are like their leader. I did wonder if that was a true picture. Why did they not want it? I hadn't heard that.

ETA: I guess I don't know any Iranians. Or, if I do, I'm not in close contact with them enough to know their political stance. Don't most of them hate and want to demolish Israel?

Iranians are young, many of them well educated, and many of them love this country and hate their own government. Of course, those are the ones, the majority (likely) that you never hear about, instead you heard constantly of one man, their former President, who denied the Holocaust and threatened Israel.

Lightbulb Reality: GOP chickenhawks talk war

The religious right hardliners in the USA don't want an agreement.

The religious right hardliners in Iran don't want an agreement.

Coincidence?

I report. you decide.

So the people of Iran are just the American people... powerless with crazy leaders.
