66% of America's GDP comes from blue states; 34% comes from red states. GDP per capita of all blue states combined is 12% higher than it is in all red states combined. 9 of the 10 poorest states are red states. 8 of the top 10 states with the best public schools are blue states. Median wages are 15% higher in blue states. And obesity is more prevalent in red states. But Republicans claim that their policies lead to a stronger economy and society. Huh?!
Virtually every quality of life and well being measure is more favorable in blue states than red states.

That's because many people in Red States quite strongly believe in devotion to personal responsibility in getting ahead in life and not running to government for help in doing that. It is viewed as an utter disgrace to one's self to do that. But the problem is too many people in the Red States are lazy and so lack the ambition and personal sacrifice required in getting ahead in life. Consequently, that leads to bringing down the quality of life statistics in those states.
In Oklahoma, Republican legislators got back at those people lacking the ambition to get a higher paying job by placing a ban on state cities to raise their minimum wages. In other words, if you are working at minimum wage, you must have the ambition to find a higher paying job, not wait on city government to raise the minimum wage for you.

How is this statistic calculated, for example if you have a company whose product is generated in a red state state and the company is headquartered in a blue state or some other variation of that? Also keep in mind you can't eat financial services.
Blue states, like California, New York and Illinois, whose economies turn on finance, trade and knowledge, are generally richer than red states. But red states, like Texas, Georgia and Utah, have done a better job over all of offering a higher standard of living relative to housing costs.
In other words, liberals are the party of money and greed?
Well, sort of.
Given that the real difference being drawn is between urban vs.suburban/rural areas, with the normal cast of characters in each, I think it's best to view the relationship between the two as similar to old-style colonialism. An urban area will concentrate capital and then extract wealth from a rural area, become richer and, of course, not let the rural area out of it's grasp.
This has been on steroids for a while with the financialization of our economic system. Rather than being manufacturing centers, now we are left with NY ($$$$) and DC (gubmint) both in the business of resource extraction.
It sort of begs the question as to who are the real slaves in this system.
I have yet to see you Identify a Republican policy!? ...or a Democrat one either for that matter! Also if you need to show the results of said policy that would show why you think it is bad!
I don't buy into the red state/blue state narrative.
It's not Republican policies that I abhor so much...
It's their myopia and modus operandi that really sucks.
