Play It Again, Sam - Why Obama Can't Be Impeached

I guess we're stuck with this embarrassment of a president until his term is over.

Rage continues to build across this country over the obvious forged birth certificate Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Obama, released April 27, 2011, as do calls for his impeachment. However, Obama cannot be impeached.
Let me quote Dr. Edwin Vieira, who wrote about this back in December 2008 before Obama was "sworn" into office. If Obama is not "a natural born Citizen" or has renounced such citizenship, he is simply not eligible for "the Office of President" (Article II, Section 1, Clause 4). That being so, he cannot be "elected" by the voters, by the Electoral College, or by the House of Representatives (see Amendment XII). For neither the voters, nor the Electors, nor members of the House can change the constitutional requirement, even by unanimous vote inter sese (see Article V). If, nonetheless, the voters, the Electors, or the members of the House purport to "elect" Obama, he will be nothing but a usurper, because the Constitution defines him as such. And he can never become anything else, because a usurper cannot gain legitimacy if even all of the country aid, abets, accedes to, or acquiesces in his usurpation.[/SIZE]

Impeach ? Are you nuts ? You really don't understand the intent or process of impeachment very well, do you ?

We've had absolute buffoons at the helm who have lived out their terms (GW for example) so what makes you think we would even begin to entertain impeaching this President? You GOP guys never give up, do you ?

He'll be down to his last 3 days and you guys will still be calling for impeachment !

Don

It's threads like this that go to show the merit in the GOP attracting lower IQ folks. Clearly no understanding past what Fox tells you. btw more than 1/2(60%) of what they tell you is false.

President Obama will not be impeached for the simple reason that he has not committed an impeachable offense. As for his eligibility to be President of the United States, there are none that have standing to challenge it.
CASE DISMISSED. APPEAL DENIED.

Sadly, one cannot be impeached for being an idiot and a terrible president.

I agree with the anti-impeachment sentiments from above. But I am curious: Who WOULD have legal standing in such a case?
