You folks do realize that the Swedish government pays for the leave, not the companies.
The taxes are very high plus they have a VAT.

Your government can provide whatever you want as long as you are willing to pay for it.

Sweden has 25% sales tax; 12% on food and certain other things. Their income taxes are similar rate to those in California, New York and New Jersey but they get tons of things back for the taxes they pay...

Then allow me.

That socialist utopia is failing fast. With a 70% tax rate , the wagon-pullers are getting sick of the people sitting in the wagon. Rioting is common where an increasing number of immigrants relocate, and womb-to-tomb interference from gubment busybodies is the norm.

Clearly, it ain't that great.

Which wouldn't come close to paying for just our world police actions.

P.S. I believe taxing food to be immoral.

The U.S. doesn't even offer any paid maternity leave... so sad for a "1st world" country. Indeed, even unpaid leave is not granted unless company has 50+ employees
Who has to pay for it, the employer, or the tax-payer? Either way, it's not right.

Government... Everyone pays taxes. Giving out tax payers money to other nations and on war makes it right?
