Many scientists are working on solutions and this one looks promising...
Researchers have found a way to pluck carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and turn it into a useful product – carbon nanofibers. They say, using their method across an area 10% the size of the Sahara Desert, enough CO2 could be removed to decrease atmospheric levels below pre-Industrial Revolution levels within 10 years. The research was presented at a meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) in Boston this week, and published online in Nano Letters.

There is no correlation between industrial output (man made CO2) and temperature.
ALL OF THESE REMEDIES to combat atmospheric CO2 is :
a. a waste of money
b. harmful to the economy
c. increases unemployment
d. harms the environment (see above)
Again, sanspeur, tell us why global temperatures ROSE during the Great Depression when industrial output fell 60%??????
There appears to be NO CORRELATION BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT (and thus man-made CO2) and temperature. Therefore all of the liberal initiatives to reduce industrial output (and thus CO2) will do NOTHING to affect temperatures, as happened in the Great Depression!
Dropping some nukes might help as well. (not joking). Or a couple volcanoes.
I completely believe in man made global warming, the evidence is just too clear cut, and theres a ton of it. But I also firmly believe that as our technology increases we will be able to deal with it. The OP's link is an example.
Now should we be careful? Absolutely. But we also shouldn't slow our progress forward either. So I am one of those folks who thinks that doing things to help prevent it from occurring too fast is good, but not so much that we damage our economy or progress.

Stop the idiocy of "global warming".
Stop the idiocy of thinking that industrial output is where most CO2 comes from. How much did coal and oil production drop? What? You mean people still used coal? Yeah.
Also stop the idiocy of thinking that if less is used, suddenly POOF its not present anymore.
I could go on. Your entire post is full of incorrect assumptions or knowledge.
Get rid of the "hot air" in Washington DC....that should do it!
We puny humans have NO effect on global climate. None. Zip. Nada.
Personally, I don't want a cold climate...I LIKE summer! You all seem to forget that the land masses are moving...and that creates a different weather pattern...and will continue to do so forever. I think plate tectonics have more to do with our global climate that CO or CO2 or anything. We can do NOTHING about our continents moving. Learn to adapt.
primarily fossil fuels. Also Cows rate highly too.
industrial output is a mere 18%
Composting is actually a large part of global warming.
