Being in the country illegally is a Class C Misdemeanor. There are four classifications of misdemeanors with the most serious being Class 1 or Class A depending on the way the state defines the Law. Class 4 or Class D are the least serious and would constitute running a stop sign. People who commit Class D through Class B are not classified as criminals. They are classified as minor offenders.
Please stop spreading the hateful right wing lie that all illegals in the country are criminals. The facts are that the vast majority of illegals in this country are guilty of a Class C or Class 3 misdemeanor, which is considered a minor offense.

You want to classify them as criminals, you need to talk to congress to change the law and deal with the illegal immigration problem. It's their job and they have kept putting it off for 35 years.

Who is rioting and burning down whole neighborhoods ? Are you talking Ferguson, Baltimore ? Those are not immigrants - illegal or otherwise. Who is taking the jobs of Americans ? Because Americans are lining up to clean office buildings or offer landscaping services or work in Nail Salons ?

BTW - a mass deportation is impossible in the USA. We are not a police state and we guarantee due process . Furthermore, many of the people often thought of as illegal may be eligible for residency under special refugee clauses - i.e. Hondurans, Salvadorians, Cubans, Iraqis, Syrians, etc.
The first thing to do is revamp US immigration policy so it is clear and consistent then secure the borders - somethings neither a Democratic nor Republican controlled congress has been willing or able to accomplish.
Anyone wishing for an expedited mass deportation is in for a disappointment - regardless of who is elected.
Americans will do all of the jobs that you mentioned. At least they did until illegal aliens arrived and undercut them by working for less.
No one is suggesting a mass deportation. But even doing so does not equate to a police state. Our immigration laws dictate that those here illegally be deported "as found". That's not mass deportation anyway. If someone is truly a refugee then wouldn't they have claimed that already? I don't think anyone that would meet that criteria would wait for years to claim it. No, most illegals are either just border jumpers for economic gain or they over stayed their visas. Either way they need to go home.
The reasoning of the pro-illegal immigration supporters is that enforcing our laws is just too daunting of a task since we've been slacking off for so long, so why bother even trying? Really, that's their whole argument. "But there's so many of them!"
That's pretty weak and defeatist, but hardly surprising.
What gets me going is how quick Americans are in blaming anyone but themselves for any perceived national problem. If it isn't Latinos, its black people, brown people or it is Muslims or Chinese. They are blamed for taking our jobs, our money or just being different. The solution is just make them DISAPPEAR!
Many years ago Rod Serling dealt with how prejudices, fear and this grasping for scape goats can destroy a average community in a Twilight Zone episode called "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street". In his summary Rod noted " prejudices can kill, fear can destroy and scapegoating can be as toxic as fallout, and sadly these things are not confined to the Twilight Zone. Americans are no different than the people of Germany, Austria and many other European nations who acted on their prejudices, fears and scapegoated people for being different from 1933 to 1945. It is not meant to insult by bringing up such pure evil that didn't happen so long ago and that that no one is alive who lived through it but to genuinely take to heart two words "Never Forget". Anyone who advocates ethnic cleansing, mass deportations, torture or aggressive war is on his way to truly forgetting or never having learned so they could remember in the first place.
Japanese Americans were not deported and we apologized for that. Germans and Italian AMERICANS were never locked up or deported. German and Italian nationals were treated as enemies - as everyone did.
As I said, The US is not a police state, no matter how much you seem to wish it were so. Regardless who wins the election there will be no mass deportations.
It seems it is you who would rather throw dirt on any realistic discussion than propose anything approaching a workable solution.

2nd time caught illegally IS a felony. Too; toss in tax evasion, ID theft, fake SSN's and now we're talking about LOTS of felonies.
I don't care about the lives of 11 million illegal aliens being destroyed when they're run out of the US. I don't care at all because ALL of them BROKE the law and need to face the music.
