They do need help but this is not how to do it. You do as Eisenhower did to end the Korean War. You tell Pakistan, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria etc to get their act together and end the fighting or all aid is cut off. Period.

We can't take them all.

Send them to the Golan Heights.

Or, send them to Qatar.

What do the governments of Pakistan, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan have to do this? The US is much more heavily implicated in the state of Syria than any of the countries you list. Why do you assume those in power in Syria will do absolutely anything considering the complexities of the past decade that have brought us to this point? Syria is in a Civil War and is also being invaded by ISIS. What, exactly, do you think telling Syria to "get their act together" will do? Who will you tell?
