Well, at least the kids took some of the food, but it's very strange, because you'd think if they were very thirsty or hungry instinct would take over.

It depends on what they're running from. In this case, poverty is one reason, avoiding war is another.

One link attributes most observed refugees as opportunists from North Africa while another says Kosovo. They do not share similar ethnicity nor denominations within Islam. Sounds like trouble within the refugee community to me.

September-October is a prime shoulder tourist season in Europe. Can't imagine how many people have cancelled their travel plans to avoid getting mixed up in this mess. I am one of them.
