This deal is to prevent Iran from getting nuclear arms, it is not about anything else including Israel.

This action speaks volumes about what is important to the GOP, a historic deal to prevent nuclear proliferation and suddenly it's all about Israel.

“I will file on an amendment that would prevent the president from lifting sanctions until Iran meets two simple benchmarks: It must formally recognize Israel’s right to exist, and it must
release the American citizens being held in Iranian custody,” he said Tuesday just before the roll call.

I think it's positively brilliant.

That will send the already mad mullahs into an arm-waving paroxysm of frenzy.

The deal guarantees Iran getting the bomb.

Fairly desperate attempt for Israel to save face, it won't go anywhere just like the rest of the GOP foot stomping.

Brilliant and GOP is an oxymoron.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would have a problem with these two conditions.

The sanctions are ending. It doesn't matter what McConnell proposes.

A deal they have been working on with 5 countries for almost 2 years to prevent nuclear arms and now they want to throw in recognition of Israel, anything else?

These tactics is far too familiar in Politics..tying a positive move forward with something that TANKS any bill...Then the party will blame the other for stopping legislations...It's not so uncommon..IN fact it's become almost the NORM since GOP got control of the House......then of course..the House bury's a passed bipartisan bill ( Immigration Reform) for over 2 years..even tho bipartisan passed from Senate..because they can..It's such a silly dance and it's NOT a wonder voter's are sick and tired of it all!!

Tying bills together is a sure fire way to scuttle any bill...but that's been going on predominately since 2010...Just look at why things aren't passing??
