I'd say its more sick to live in a culture that has zero qualms with exposing children to violence of all kinds, to show death, destruction and mayhem... people getting blown up, murder, shootings.... yet show a nipple and everyone is screaming, "think about the CHILDREN!!!!"

Default Conservatism is up there

CONSERVATISM is an affliction. To live in America in the 21st century, and still support Jim Crow, still fight for trickle down economics, still be racist against blacks, still favor war over diplomacy, still perpetuate cronyism, ignorance, and good old boys clubs, and oppose the President and the Constitution because of the color of the President's skin, is inexcusable.

There certainly are other factions around the world that can be considered "sicker", but Conservatives are right up there.

America sick? We're not beheading people or openly raping children like the Islam countries do, so no. We're fine, thank you.

Who's children are being exposed to all of that violence besides Muslim children in Islamic countries?

Yes, the Middle East and much of the Third World is sicker than America, but I just wanted to know if the society in places like Europe or the first world countries in Asia are in general sicker societies.

Yes, definitely.

I would attribute it to the fact that the US is heterogeneous and grotesquely large, leading to an "anonymity factor" of extraordinary magnitude.

When you look at the Euro-States, you're looking at very small homogeneous nation-States which have little to no mobility internally and a very minuscule "anonymity factor."

It's a lot like the difference between a big city and small town.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." - Benjamin Franklin

I love this quote from Franklin because it is illustrative of how times really haven't change. Franklin was of course one of the most famous philanderers of his time. His son William was born to an unknown woman other than his common law wife Deborah Reed.
