Why do you think that would result?

There are many more no/low cost community health clinics nationwide than there are PP facilities, and the community health centers are mostly located in low-income areas. PP is redundant. It isn't necessary.

IF some people think PP is so necessary (it isn't), then PP supporters can step in and put their money where their mouths are. Step up to the plate, donate, and fund PP via a private foundation. I'm pretty sure all the limousine liberals would support the cause. Regular everyday liberals should, too, if they so strongly believe PP is necessary (it's not, as I've already shown).

Of course they could be done elsewhere. I'm just answering the question and it is true that pp's service do involve a significant amount of cancer prevention due to them performing routine pap smears.

I'll do them for free.

I was just in one last week with my partner he might be pregnant. See I didn't know he was a women first. Years ago they cut off some baby penises for his transgender reorientation surgery (and I missed it) Its really cool cuz they got the color wrong see he is black but the penis is white. Oh, well he couldn't sue because he was only 15 and they told him you have to be 18 to sue them.

Yes this was done in Oregon. Of course I made everything up but those things could take place in your neighborhood PP in Oregon, thank you liberals.

Oh, I didn't make the part up about the cliental not listening. That place is a joke and I was in one last week following up on a complaint.
You hate pp and the statement that just simply states that they do pap smears, breast exams and provide education makes you want to puke but you were just in a pp clinic last week to follow up on a complaint? Why go there if you think it is so awful?

BTW, regarding education, a lot of their education takes place outside of the clinics at college campuses and with other community partners teaching about contraception, how to do breast exams, the importance of routine pap smears and sexually transmitted infections.

With far more low/no cost health clinics in low income areas than PP clinics, the other services PP offers are redundant of the numerous other options available to low-income women. PP supporters say that defunding them will result in women losing access to all of these services, but it won't. There are lots of other options for these people, and PP won't suddenly vanish because they stop getting a check from the government.

Its like saying that people will starve because Trader Joes closes in a town that has 5 other grocery stores.

Not that many low cost clinics serving the greater Los Angeles region per your link... There's like 15 million people in that region. Thanks for showing how we need every low income clinic available.

By your logic, any clinic specializing in anything is redundant as they could just got to a general clinic. PP was setup to specialize in something, and many woman feel more comfortable going to a clinic like that. So spare me your misplaced ignorance, use it somewhere else.

Even if there is a resource in the vicinity how do you suppose those clinics, doctors offices, hospitals will accomodate a few hundred thousand patients when PP closes. We have a system that works quite well but the GOP needs to inconvenience low income women and make it as difficult as possible because they don't like PP, so they developed a solution in search of a problem.

Pull PP's funding and abortions will still continue and more than likely there will be less women getting contraception and other health services.

WTH kind of drivel is this? It's like the rantings of a drunk person.

I guarantee more than half of the naysayers on here have used PP & used it on more than one occasion. I also guarantee the ones complaining about PP have no idea how the female body works. Get yourself educated, then get back to us. You have no clue what you're talking about.
