I'm trying to figure out which is the more ludicrous idea:

*that President Obama is a communist (which more than a few fools weirdly define as: anyone to the left of Sean Hannity), or
*that communism equals anarchy

Too close to call! It's a photo-finish in a race for absurdity!

Here in the real world (where anyone not slamming one glass of Kool-Aid after another realizes that President Obama is not a communist), communism goes hand in hand with draconian law enforcement.

Seriously, do you people have anything other than the knee-jerk bleating of "Obama is a commie!" in response to everything?

And, you also failed to note that the DA dropped the charges against the woman. That's significant, because that's the city saying she didn't commit a crime to begin with.

You're right, it's entirely possible that this use of force was justified - but on the face of it that does not appear to be the case, and even if it were, my points regarding the other poster's argument are still valid. They stand up just fine all by themselves, regardless of whether this particular incident was justified.

At any rate, we shall see as it goes to trial. I'm not for hanging the officers in question, but right now this doesn't look good for them, and the process is going to have to play out and run its course.
Listen the videotape looks terrible. I can total understand your position. I would also agree that your arguments are valid on their own. We shall see how it all shakes out!!

The stormfront crowd doesn't care if its a 90 year old lady. As long as the victim is subhuman to them they are happy.

Common sense dictates that those who don't want to be the subject of a police contact should follow the law. As an old cop friend of mine says, "When you break the law, you invite a peace officer into your life."
Bad arguments. Under the circumstances there is NO situation where two cops holding down and beating a 40 year old woman and giving her a concussion is justified. It's not as simple as comply and even if she wasn't, are you willing to say that every single time you resist the police can beat you senseless? I'd be scared to live in the world you seem to want to live in.

They beat this woman up in front of her kids. Over a seatbelt. This is exactly why I pushed for seat belt laws and other petty offenses to be removed from the books. This officer took advantage of something he knew she couldn't prove her innocence against, and then became physical when she likely became upset.

Typical bully behavior. Talk about thugs.

I am worried about a major network showing such a thing. Notice how many things are cut out of that video? She is obviously resisting, but they cut a lot of the resistance out. This is typical of news reporting these days. Forget the facts and get going on the hype.

Police haters hate and will never agree with any use of force
The poster who says drop seatbelt laws is so typical of progressive socialist thinking who sees personal actions... Not affecting all of us..they do

I was very interested in a small wealthy California city completely backing the department here. The fact the d.a. didn't file is a political decision... 90 percent of cases either aren't filed or are plea bargained.
Let's see how it goes in court.. One thing is for sure... You roll the lawsuit lottery wheel you are bound to win..even if the police are fully justified ...its always cheaper to settle early than it is to litigate
Same haters in here always seem to be the same ones complaining about marijuana enforcement.. Hmmmm funny connection .. Not.. Thugs hunh.. More like drugs to me..
This momma who is so saintly an angel will be shown in her true light in court..not snippets on the news with an agenda
