Lets hope Russia feels the same. If not this could get bad. Turkey is a member of NATO.

NATO has stated specifically they will defend Turkey.

Really bad news...Russia is claiming the Russian plane was over Syria, not Turkey.

1 pilot said to be dead.

Well, that article says "help and assist if needed". NATO countries are not obligated to respond with force. Article 5 basically says countries can do as little or as much as they want.

Now Russia is acknowledging that they lost a fighter jet. It doesn't appear to be a fabrication this time around.
