More great news about a benefit to this country from President Obama's presidency.

Remember, Republican Bush was given a SURPLUS by Democrat Clinton and turned it into a RECORD DEFICIT. Had our great President Obama not been obstructed by Republicans in Congress, we likely would be enjoying another surplus.

The deficit is not the DEBT which will be approaching 20 TRILLION by the time President Obama hits the exit door. You apparently do not understand the difference. Go back and take Econ. 101.

Spin master Republicans. Always making the president look bad. Look how they are still making excuses for the village idiot. We didn't have a 9/11 under Obama......

BTW - Clinton's surplus was a blip. The Dot Com balloon resulted in more revenues than were expected.
However, the failure to borrow more FRNs (via deficits) blew back as the Dot Com BUST.
Remember, 12 USC Sec. 411 requires CONgress to increase the debt to authorize more "dollar bills."

Of course, it's insane. See clause 4, 14th amendment.

Why would they need to do a 9/11 job with a friend in charge?

Look how much they have gained in the Middle East and north Africa since Obama took over... Iraq, Libya, Egypt for a while, still working on Syria...

Not sure why America is going downhill with economy. Why debt?

Every Congress inherits the cumulative debt and adds to it.

Obama inherited $10 Trillion cumulative debt from Bush and Congress added to it.

Congress controls the purse strings.
