Since 1917 the U.S. has had the Selective Service, where men from age 18 to 25 have to register in case the draft returns. Now since the U.S. has extended equality to women, shouldn't women age 18 to 25 have to register for the draft as well.

Human nature...

The man will always try and save the woman.
The man will always want to have sex with the woman.

This is very counter productive during war, unless you are fighting over the woman...........

Selective Service law as it's written now refers specifically to "male persons" in stating who must register and who would be drafted. For women to be required to register with Selective Service, Congress would have to amend the law.

No. No one should have to. But if they want to, by all means.

Well nobody should. But if women want equality, then it must be true equality, no exceptions, no special treatment.

They should. In Israel women are drafted into the army just like men. So why doesn't the USA require women to register for the draft just like men?
