Good luck bringing that can of Pepsi onboard now...
It’s all over the news today that ISIS is claiming it brought down the Russian passenger jet last month with a soda can bomb.

This is the picture of a mock up of the bomb that was released in an Islamic State Magazine (yes, they have their own magazine, apparently).
As a frequent flyer, I think about how vulnerable those planes are and it forces me to drink on the planes to stop worrying. This infidel is pissed at those followers of the Pervert Prophet.
Right now we have no way of knowing if that photo represents an actual bomb or is just propaganda. Bringing down an airliner requires either a timer and the good luck not to have the plane delayed, or a barometric mechanism that triggers when the plane reaches a certain altitude.
The Russians say the bomb contained the equibalent of 2.2 lbs of TNT. Where is it? Still in the can, unshown? Is either of those two other parts a barometric switch? Neither looks like one to me, but I'm far from an expert on this stuff. Does anyone know? And where are the batteries?
Until experts say that it is a bomb, I'm calling it fake.
