Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) says refugees fleeing war-torn Syria are trying to come to the U.S. for a “paid vacation” in the form of generous welfare programs.

In the aftermath of terrorist attacks in Paris last week, the congressman said Islam is an inherently violent faith.

“I think you can make a very compelling argument that these terrorists are doing exactly what the Koran tells them to do,” he said.

Brooks said that there is a "large segment of the Muslim population" who are not terrorists, but "support what these terrorists are doing."
How do you have a conversation with someone as backward as this?

Wow, I don't think someone who is a refugee would call that a vacation. Goes to show any moron can be elected to office.

Refugees don't pick and choose countries based on welfare. The Syrians are milking the gullible West.

Is it a paid vacation? No. Will we be taking care of them? Probably. Will they eventually figure out our system and use it to their advantage? The Magic 8-Ball says most likely.

If you want to use one politician to make a point, don't expect the opposition to not use one to make theirs.

One could argue that being chairtable is not the same as being a sucker, not sure how to differentiate the two, maybe it would be a function of the reason for being charitable, whether it was to serve others or to serve yourself.
