Concern over proposed Greek border fence

Greece's decision to build a 12-kilometer (7.5-mile) fence along its border with Turkey in a bid to curb illegal immigration has caused mixed reactions, with humanitarian agencies saying the fence could prevent asylum seekers from reaching safety.

Greek Public Order Minister Christos Papoutsis announced the decision, saying "action is necessary" because more than 100,000 people have entered Greece illegally in the past year, and the country "can no longer tolerate such high numbers."

And who is against the border wall?

The Communist Party of Greece has criticised the measure as "barbaric," and humanitarian agencies have expressed concern that the fence could prevent asylum seekers and others in need from reaching safety.

No, but the idea of a fence to keep the illegals out sounds good.

Racist Xenophobes?

Uh...the people they're trying to keep out are folks of their own race (Turks).

Surely NO American has a right to talk about racism and xenophobia in another country. LOL...i mean, just the thought is laughable.

There ain't a whiter place in the world than Norway or Sweden (model socialist states), I reckon.

Turks and Greeks are of the same race? Fancy that.

Turks and Greeks are of different ethnicities, but their race is the same. They are both WHITE...or caucasian, if you prefer.
