“We dropped leaflets, warning the drivers to scatter,” said an official who had been briefed on the strike.'

US military: Air strikes destroy 116 ISIS fuel trucks, sharing target info with France | Fox News

The U.S. is warning ISIS fighters before they are attacked. Can anyone who isn't a dyed in the wool Obama supporter justify giving our enemies aid and comfort like the president is doing, which is the very definition of treason? Can you spell I-M-P-E-A-C-H-M-E-N-T?

The leaflets are to warn civilians to evacuate the area. Why? Because every civilian we kill, his sons will join ISIS the very next day!

Have you guys learned NOTHING from the Iraq quagmire? This is a PR war, people! You lose the PR, you lose war, period.

The important factor is that the target (fuel trucks) are taken out. Which we did, dropping the leaflets had no negative impact on us striking the target.

Oh, by the way, we also dropped leaflets to warn the Japanese BEFORE we dropped the atomic bomb!!!! Do you guys have a problem with that too?!

That was to get the Japs to surrender. Contrary to popular belief, Emperor Hirohito might have listened to reason. Islamic extremists are a whole different animal.

Those "civilians" support ISIS, otherwise they wouldn't be there. They carry ID cards, they financially support ISIS by paying "taxes" to ISIS. You're a bit late on worrying about the "children". They are already being indoctrinated by ISIS in training camps. Seems they start them as young as age 5. That is the education they get.

Exactly!!!

There are actual strategy behind leaflets droppings. It's not as simple as, 'Oh, you want to warn our enemies...." In this case, we are trying to minimize civilian deaths.

Think people.

A lot of civilians work for ISIS because they have to pay rent and feed the family. That doesn't mean these people are going to pick up arms or blow themselves up.

I was indoctrinated to math, science, and the virtue of hard work since the age of 5 too. Funny how I don't retain any of it as an adult. But if some foreign country are to blow up my Dad, you betcha I'd spend the rest of my life fantasizing how I'm going to tear their throats out.

The point: Try to minimize bad PR as much as possible. One misstep and it could set us back significantly.
