Jewish and/or Israeli athletes and any other person fitting this criteria are banned from Saudi- Arabia and Qatar and I never heard the President nor any Presidential candidate on either side mentioning how unfair that is.

A few years ago a Israeli tennis player tried to go through the ban and applied for a visa t play a professional WTA tournament in Saudi-Arabia. Remember how well players are treated over there with lots of gifts and large money to be earned and it seems to be a nice country to visit as we can see many famous people going there and seeing the views of the very wealthy looking cities.

This tennis player by the name of Shahar Peer was refused a visa due to be from Israel.

Israel let players of all nations enter into their tournaments.

Is this anti-Semitic or is it even important as I never heard anyone bringing it up but Trump is now called all kind of bad names for being in favor of a temporary ban of muslims that are not American Citizens until we figure out that we can get proof who they are and what their real background is.

Trump even stated there will be exceptions as athletes and diplomats and probably people who can easily proof their case will be allowed in.

As long as the Saudi-Arabia, Qatar issue is not discussed and resolved than I'm strongly support Trump as he is not doing it like these countries who even discriminate against women.

You may base your actions on the lowest common denominator, but I was raised better. Just because another country is entirely in the wrong does not mean we should strive to match them.

Liberals are by nature incredibly hypocrites....I worked in Saudi, women can't drive, get a job, have to wear clothes they hope will stop the sadistic religious police from beating them, can't go out in public unless under the direct supervision of a related adult male, and if they are raped, they can be stoned to death are sentenced harshly for this 'crime.' but that's totally okay with our hypocrite Liberals....they only get bent our of shape for the 'right wing nut jobs' who point these things out.

What does that have to do with our policies in the US? Why should we strive to emulate Saudi Arabia's religious restrictions on travel, as Trump has suggested?

Because Saudi Arabi does it to someone else, Why shouldn't we do it! The Chinese think blocking entry into their country based on religion is a good thing, why shoudlnt we do it! Detroit has a very high number of concealed carriers and the police, so everyone should carry a gun!

3 arguments presented on city data the last few days. Anyone else see the irony?

it's not new, it's been going on for most of the 20th Century - do you know any history?

k

Saudi, long time US ally, has a deplorable human rights record. The US overlooks this so long as the Saudi continue to trade oil in the petrodollar.

Absolutely true. Saudi Arabia has wielded the power in the relationship between our two countries for decades, regardless of the political parties or players involved. Money matters more than human rights, unfortunately.

I realize people like you don't look at all the facts. Religion is a key test in granting refugee status because whether or not a particular religion is being oppressed is how we judge whether or not they should get that status. The vast majority of people coming here as refugees from Syria are Sunni Muslim and the Islamic State is a Sunni Muslim entity. I'm trying to make things as simplistic as possible for your liberal mind.

I don't care what other countries do in that nature.
