This is why any release from Gitmo has to be to the bottom of the ocean like "brother" Osama got.

Yes we should keep detainees indefinitely or kill them even though they haven't been charged in almost 10 years, makes sense.

I agree. They should be shark bait instead.

Yet another example of supporting decisions that were made out of fear in the wake of 9/11. We must keep these detainees locked up for life as they might be terrorists, we have no proof but that doesn't matter we are scared.

This one pled guilty. We still released him.

That is not true at all, we had nothing on him.

Falsely detained for several years and leading the fight, pretty rare and commendable.

"Accounts of former Guantánamo detainees who went on to fight alongside the Taliban or Islamic State have become familiar. So are those of innocents swept up in the American dragnet and dumped in the prison camp without recourse or appeal. But this is a new one: the story of a man wrongly branded an enemy combatant and imprisoned in Guantánamo for nearly four years, only to emerge as a steadfast American ally on the battlefield."

They were not falsely imprisoned. They were enemy combatants caught on the battlefield. You really need to brush up on military law.
