The South Dakota couple had an illegal arsenal in their apartment, and police were called after a neighbor found a bullet hole in his wall and a bullet in his mattress. See something, say something. One of the suspects worked in a local elementary school.

Police found 114 guns, including more than a dozen illegally modified rifles and shotguns. They found two handmade silencers, multiple grenades, about 10,000 rounds of ammunition and $20,000 cash. The bomb squad also removed gunpowder, fuses, and other equipment for making explosive devices.

A man who identified himself as Zafft's uncle but would not give his name expressed frustration about the charges. "They aren't going after criminals; they're going after guns. I blame Obama for this," the man said.

Bwahahaha. "I blame Obama for this". Thats amazing. Just as a FYI we've been arresting people for silencers since before Obama. Even worse is they could have paid for the fee to own one and been fine. The bombs though...not so much....nor did Obama shoot off a gun and put a hole in their neighbors wall.

After reading the article and the "may be illegal" statements, I don't see anywhere where the couple made threats against anyone? If a picture of a burning police car were an indication of a threat every other action tv show ever made could be held to the same criteria.

Actually been around for a while.

Urban Dictionary: ammosexual

10,000 rounds isnt a whole lot of ammo though. Unless its one of the more expensive calibers. .50 cal is insanely expensive.

Most people who amass small arsenals like this person tend to be in the extremely paranoid category, and have a love affair with high powered weapons that speaks to other issues gone wrong in their lives. Some folks own this many weapons and are perfectly reasonable people and just love collecting them as a hobby, but they are a tiny minority of gun owners with a collection like this nut job.

Glad they got him, hope they confiscate all his guns and lock him up. Score one for the police!
