he first reported homicide victim of 2016 had only been at a New Year’s Eve party in Bronzeville for an hour when a fight inside spilled out onto St. Lawrence Avenue, a partygoer said early Friday morning.

Two people were shot in the 4600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue at about 2 a.m., police said. One of them, a 24-year-old man, reportedly had been arguing with someone who pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. He was declared dead on the scene and later identified as Deandre Holiday of the 5100 block of South Indiana Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Emergency workers guided a sobbing woman away from the scene.

“Let me wake up! Let me wake up!” she cried. “No! No! No! No! No!"

2 dead, 15 wounded in city shootings - Chicago Tribune

Sun, rain, or snow, you can always count on Chicago to produce a body count. Are any of these shooters going to be called "domestic terrorists"? How many of those guns do you suppose were bought through the "gun show loophole".

They are not going to be called terrorists. That word is used for Muslims who do such things. Anyone else, it isn't called terrorism.

You're telling me that in the majority of these cases happen in poor black areas, and that these poor black men are buying their guns though the "gun show loophole"?

Solve this issue by disarming innocent people, sounds like a awesome plan to me.

Alrighty then.

What loophole?

Hood rats shooting hood rats. I kind of don't have a problem with that.

Robert Dear was not a Muslim and he was called a terrorist. He did less damage then the boys in Chicago did last night.

You make it sound like gun show = gun store. It's not. We get a whopping 2 gun shows a year here.

Oh, I don't think that any of the guns were bought by the shooters, and don't have a problem with gun shows. That is the point. The EO will only hurt law abiding citizens. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok, gotcha. You are correct in that thought. Our gun shows require an FFL and no one walks out the door with a weapon of any flavor.
