Is this worse than us bombing a hospital and refusing to take responsibility?
I have no idea what went on here but it would seem no one was harmed.
If the Iranians accidentally towed the boats to their port, I can see the comparison; however, I don't think their anchor lines got crossed and when arriving in port, "Oh my goodness, how long have we been dragging those boats?"
Don't get me wrong, I think we should have stopped dropping bombs over there a decade ago, but unless you believe Obama or the military targeted that hospital, it's really a different story.
Is sounds like they offered aid to a stranded boat. That is what all sailors do for each other.
Do you believe the US sailors asked to be towed into an Iranian port, or do you believe all sailors tow other boats regardless of whether they want to be towed or not.
Don't get me wrong, if the US boat broke down and drifted into what the Iranians believed were their waters, I can understand why they might temporarily place them in custody. The thing is, according to posts above, Iran said they will immediately release the sailor and the boats. I just don't see this, based upon what is above, as a significant incident.
Iran to Obama potentially - "we have these people and we want a lot for you to get them back."
I hope not, but with Kerry as SOS "yelp".
I hope that these service people affected get released quickly.
