After watching the last Democratic debate and reading a Politico article on Sanders and Obama it is clear the two share little love.
My question is this, How progressive is Obama, was he a good president? And is Sanders right to criticize Obama?
One thing that annoys me about or political discussion on him as a Country is the assumption he is a pacifist and anti-war. Under his administration more drone strikes were permitted all across the middle east, Numbers of military strikes across Africa increase, bombings of children, Home raids on illegals, the militarization of our police force, and the fact that after receiving millions of Dollars in donations from Wall street not a single Banker was arrested or charged after the 2008 financial crash. Income inequality has also increased.
Obama promised a lot and delivered very little progress. He delivered results that have been pretty moderate, save for the lame duck session. And results that while better than 08 are pretty bad by most objective standards.
His legacy? First Black President, Pulled us out of the Great Recession, reformed the healthcare industry for better or worse, played a large role in pulling us from direct combat in a blunder of a war.
However, he has left is now 19tril in debt, income inequality unseen in a Century and isn't too far from signing a new trade bill that could be catastrophic on his way out.
I'd rate him in the 40th percentile of Presidents. Did some alright things, had some really bad results in other things.
Bush Jr. Would be in the 10th percentile fwiw.
Sanders should criticize him, it's a progressive stance to want progress. Clinton is just humping his leg to get his supporters.
I don't even necessarily have anything against Obama, he seems like a guy I'd get along with really well, but that has little to do with legacy.

I can agree with a lot of what you said, even though I rank him lower.

Here is the reason why Obama could not get more done
Why don't you post the ENTIRE dialogue? What are you afraid of?
You DO KNOW this was at the run up to Obama's SECOND term.
If you are so concerned about "getting things done", why no CRITICISM of Obama's FIRST term where he and the dems had CONTROL of ALL 3 BRANCHES of government and they COULD have done WHATEVER THEY WANTED.

Fairly progressive.

Above average.

And is Sanders right to criticize Obama?
Please explain how it could be wrong.

Is it really wrong for Sanders to Criticize him?
Sanders is coming into the campaign season from a very different perspective from the political mainstream. It would unnatural not to criticize the status quo.
Not exactly; he's a poor leader, and very divisive himself.
Of course to him and his supporters, it's always someone else's fault. Always.
That's pretty much what I was going to post. I understand the black community is proud of him, but realistically he was a mediocre president.
