Wasserman Schultz, DNC chairwoman and congresswoman, is being targeted for taking donations from pay day lenders, and then switching her stance to stand up for pay day lenders.

Pay day lenders may provide a necessary service, but their terms and conditions are often outrageous and this helps keep the working poor poor as it enables their bad decisions. President Obama has been trying to make these lenders more accountable and transparent, which I think is a noble goal. He was not expecting to get hit from his own leadership.

Wasserman Schultz declined to comment.

This should shock no one.

Trapping hard-working Americans in an endless cycle of desperate dependency is the Democrat`s stock in trade.

Lip service from the White House will satisfy low-information types while Democrats like Wasserman do the dirty work of keeping the poor in a perpetual cycle of dependency and despair.

Then why are Republicans the legislators enabling payday lenders at the state level? In Oregon, Democrats brought payday loans down to 150% APR, which is less than half as egregious as the previous 400% APR.
