For those who feel abortion should be illegal, what should the legal consequences be for a man who impregnated the woman in question and encourages the abortion? It's fine to support a pro-life position, but it would appear many have not thought through their positions past their emotional responses. If something is illegal, then there are consequences for being complicit in the relevant act.

The present legal consequences for the man are adequate, if enforced:
18 years of child support, more if the kid goes to college.
But, that choice is not in the list, so I could not vote.

Uh, if he is complicit in an illegal abortion, who does he pay the 18 years of child support to?

If it's illegal and involves taking a life jail would be an appropriate sentence.

If abortion is murder, and he encourages the abortion, then he should be charged as a party to the offense of murder.

I am a Buddhist Christian I mean I feel all life if precious. I understand that it's a women's choice regarding her own body. Kind of where my fiancé and I differ. Still in the decision making of going for an abortion the idea of adoption should at least be brought up discussed. Outside of that whether you do it or not is up to the women. In the end it's the woman right.

Interesting that the question is posed to "anti-abortionists", but then the first one to answer and cast a vote is a lib...
