Of course. The other day he was defending the inclusion of this controversial movie. Seems some had a problem with that and got him to go along with censoring it.

There was one ad on the Golf Channel 20 minutes ago urging all adults over 50 to get their Pneumonia vaccinations. Anyone ever see those ads about Big Bad Wolf Grandparents for not getting their Tdap vaccinations? How about the HORRORS of Shingles? DEADLY FLU? Who puts up these ads? The Pharm Mfgs, of course. Forget ever other commercial on the air about "ask your doctor if xyz pill is RIGHT FOR YOU". No "counterbalance"?
The Trailer for Vaxxed is on YouTube right now and has had thousands of views. I am sure with all the headlines this film is creating, you can be SURE it will be shown in entirety on the Net at some point (Bought?). Should they pull that too? Does free speech ANYWHERE end when it comes to vaccines? ONLY one viewpoint? Do you "health professions" want to ban posts on Facebook, Emails, monitor phone calls too if they go against your "science"? Who do you think you are?

"Free speech" does not mean what you think it does. It means that the government cannot censor speech, though that freedom does not extend to such things as inciting riots. You can be sued for slander and libel, too.
There is no obligation to give equal time to pseudoscientific anti-vaccine propaganda. Anyone can make a movie advancing the anti-vax viewpoint. That does not mean the content is true.
Wakefield has as much credibility as the guys that used to do smoking is safe studies for the cigarette companies.
Deniro's sons all had moms that were 40+ when they were born and were born using invitro. (one has autism)
I think he should pay attention to the impact of the age of birth moms and autism which is something up around 10x higher at age 40 than age 20.
Really, if you want to know where the real surge in autism is coming from in the US (besides actually diagnosing it more), look no further than the droves of kids in gradeschool with moms in their mid to upper 40's. Nothing wrong with it, my kids mom was in her late 30's when they were born, but lets not kid ourselves it's mentally easier to blame outside forces than to roll the dice on an older aged pregnancy and winding up not having that perfect kid.
To some people it's always someone else's fault when something goes wrong due to their personal decisions.

Nothing at all to do with censorship. Wakefield can do his own promotion, de Niro is not all obliged to lend him his good name.

Who's "they"? Seems to me Wakefield is the one who stands to lose income if his film is being "shown in its entirety on the Net", but hey...

De Niro appears to think he's one of the founders of the Tribeca film festival. And he's right. His show, he gets to decide the playbill. It's not really complicated.

You have both. Free speech doesn't involve the right to shoulder your way into private functions where you've been told you're not welcome.
He can always go to one of the networks or another festival to have his day in the sun or just use good old youtube, claiming that this amounts to censorship in this day in age is laughable.
