View Poll Results: Who should control the House, Senate & Presidency?
Democrats 9 16.67%
Republicans 5 9.26%
Split power 10 18.52%
Neither. I would rather eliminate the party system and vote just for the person. 30 55.56%
Voters: 54. You may not vote on this poll

If you could choose who would control the Senate, the House and The Presidency, would you pick:

Democrats for all three and why?

Republican's for all three and why?

Split power and why?

Or would you choose to abolish the party system altogether and simply vote by individual candidate and why?

I will create a poll and then come back to chime in.

The Executive brand: Democrats. Why? Just look at each of the Republican presidents for the past five decades. Case closed.

The Senate: Democrats. The Republicans are not interested in doing Senatcy things.

The House: Republican by a slim majority. Hopefully they provide some check and balance to the Democrats, but most likely they just want to shut down the government.

I would choose to abolish the party system and vote for the person, without any group identifiers allowed. This country is so polarized now and everyone just repeats the same old talking points on each side. For those of us who are not attached to a party and are free thinkers, it is very frustrating to see this country always battling each other and being yanked back and forth election after election.

As that would never happen, I guess the next best thing would be split government control "without" executive order........along with all bills having to be one item up or down votes. Either the single item is justified or it is not. No more hidden or bribery items.

Id rather the govt had no say in running people's lives, in which case political party's would be irrelevant.

Well you have to have someone, so that would probably be option 4.

I actually don't think there need to be any rulers. It would be interesting to add that option and see how many votes it gets. I'd be curious..

Only Carter had a lower average Gallup approval rating than Obama, so I'm not sure where your opinion comes from.

Democrats lost both houses of Congress because they did things most people didn`t want.
