Once again missing the point that we're discussing the term ALL compared to SOME.

As in; the Utopian countries affording basic medical care to ALL instead of only to SOME.

Just so that you and all the other dystopian utopians understand that all that's really offered is BASIC medical care. Expensive life-saving procedures, treatments, and meds are rationed, if even available at all.

You are so right! And I have A, B, and D Medicare coverage!
The following #s are for dr. and pharmacy co-pays only since being diagnosed with diabetes II, 10 months ago.

This month, my hospital for my primary dr. called me and told me I had a $611.00 bill due right now!
Before diabetes 10 months ago, my doctor bill was $22.00 to $25.00 per month and meds were under $40.00 per month, every month for last 6 years.

In the last 10 months I have been paying $300-$400 for meds (sometimes higher with deductibles), and $200-$300 per month for dr.'s and specialists and procedures and tests and talking to diabetes nurses sometimes every day or at least once a week to adjust my oral and injected medications now at a count of 8 that i take from the previous 2.

In addition, I was sent to other hospitals for echo cardiogram ($600 copay), ER visits (don't even know yet) when I have had diabetes complications and was told by my primary to go to ER from my symptoms. They even stuck a camera into my bladder after I had a little blood in my urine, which was from an internally generated bladder infection from the diabetes and too much sugar in there. What happened to the lab urology tests? I was told that I might have bladder cancer!!! Everything was negative, except for the experience having a camera pushed up there! Oh, so much pain.

My savings is now gone (over $5,000 in 10 months) and I was told by the hospital that I can apply for charity! Charity! How insulting@! I have always been able to pay for my bills for the last 6 years seeing a dr. every month, even being on fixed income. But with this diabetes, and all of the dr ordered tests and labs every time I see him, it is a VERY EXPENSIVE condition.

Now, since they offered charity even though I have asked for a monthly payment instead of that option, I am being treated like a moron and now cut loose and ignored by my dr. and diabetic nurses right in the middle of them adjusting me newly taking insulin! 2 weeks ago, they were calling me everyday to check my blood sugar #s and adjusting the insulin injections accordingly. And at least 1-3 times a week when adjusting oral meds.

Last week, no call at all! This week, no call so far! They have just dropped me like a rock! I didn't know what to do with this insulin injection stuff and the uncontrolled diabetes 2 I have had for last 10 months. I have figured it out in the last week or so from scowering the internet for answers, but I am very disappointed in their "so caring attitude" when my bills were being paid and now their "could care less" about me while I am injecting this powerful insulin INTO MY BODY on a daily basis and still having spikes and drops of over 100 points!

The spikes and drops in my blood sugar, and the swelling in my legs has landed me in the ER twice in 10 months! So, I got on the web and figured out from watching videos on youtube that I needed to look at my numbers and foods and carbs I was eating as directed by the nutritionist that I was also told to see every month as well as foot dr., eye glass dr. special shoes dealer, etc., etc., etc., and I determined that I am carb intolerant and stopped eating anything with carbs such as wheat, gluten, milk, starch, etc., that were ok foods for me to eat as told by the nutritionist in last 10 months.

I just cannot believe that they just turned me into the wind, left me on my own and never returned my calls.
AND, I HAVE REFUSED THEIR CHARITY! Am paying them what I can afford on a monthly basis.

It is unbelievable! When the nurse didn't call to get my #s for the week, I called the hospital and they told me that she was in "training classes this week"! WHAT! How am I supposed to handle adjusting this insulin stuff that was so important to monitor last week but now I am ignored this week? And, my dr. now instead of seeing me every month for meds, as he has done over the last 6 years has scheduled me out 3 months now.

THANKS ALOT YOU CARING BASTARDS and FEMALE BASTARDS! Hope you never need me to pull you out of a burning car on the highway! I might ask if you have $$$$ before I help you out!!!!!!!!!!!! And let you burn if you don't have enough to pay me to get you out of the burning car!!! UGH!!! This is not a caring country anymore.
It has been and is getting worse that it is ALL ABOUT THE BUCK!! People die from this diabetes stuff all the time!

Health care is a business. If you make it charity, there would be no care for anybody.

In the old time, the villagers would not stone the doctor as he or she would be well protected by those who can afford to pay. Since health care is a profitable business, more villagers would join the rank and become doctors and it will become cheaper as competition rises.

Unfortunately, nobody is responsible for or remotely obligated to care for you once you are a grown up (over 18).

I am not sure why you get so angry.

Keep checking your levels a few times a day.. if your sugar gets too low have some orange juice or something with sugar to bring your sugar level up to normal. Look on the internet and read to find out more information.

If worse comes to worse, keep yourself healthy and if they offer you reduced care take it.. you paid your way this far and you are the ones who hate a hand out. Many stand in line for a hand out when they don't need it.

I am glad your came out cancer free. Take care of yourself. You have to depend on your own knowledge about diabetes. Eat right, no refined flour products, no sugar treats unless the meds make your sugar drop too low. I wish you well.

NO! If it is not beneficial to the broad middle class it will not work or be acceptable. I said that years ago about future HC reforms, and we got Obamacare in. That is why I favor more central money creation to help bail the middle class.

You mean insurance companies in the U.S. don't ration procedures, treatments and drugs that they will allow?
