The contention of the AGW crowd is that CO2 is the main driver of temperatures and climate during the era of man. Yet temperatures were much higher, on the average, during the time of the Roman Empire, despite lower atmospheric CO2 levels.

How can this be? If CO2 is the main driver of global temperatures and "climate", how could temperatures have possibly been warmer when CO2 levels were LOWER?

Climate was HOTTER in Roman, medieval times than now: Study

Keep trolling. Is CO2 the ONLY factor in climate change?

The cult of denialism isn't taking their namenda.

Sigh...right wingers....they believe in an invisible man in the sky and they believe taxes create surpluses

But...they don't believe in science

Ok, let me give you an example to try to show you why your logic is so obviously flawed.

Suppose I say drinking cyanide will kill you. You then point to your grandfather saying he didn't drink any cyanide and he died. You then conclude that because your grandfather died not from cyanide, it must be the case that cyanide is harmless.

See the flaw in your logic?

No one denies that climate goes through cyclical periods. That's a given. Just because the climate changes gradually over time through natural processes doesn't mean there aren't any consequence when we artificially create the change ourselves.

Let's go back to my example about death. Just because we all will die of old age eventually doesn't mean we should all drink cyanide right now to end it all.

Roman chariots emitted tons of carbon gases and coal-fired power plants didn't have proper pollution controls back then.

Why do ice core samples show much higher CO2 levels during ice ages of the past? Why do climate change believers completely discount the profound impact of deep sea venting related to ocean temps which directly affect the world's temps? Why do they insist on ignoring real science in favor of this Climate Scientology?

Another very obviously flawed argument that keeps popping up from the right.

During periods in the distant past when CO2 levels were higher, we as a species weren't around yet.

We evolved in this climate. Our entire civilization is built based entirely on the current relative climate seasons. Artificially pushing the climate to change will make it uncomfortable to a lot of people.

Permit me to take your logic a step further to show how flawed your logic really is. In the very distant past, much of the Earth's surface was covered in molten rock. Does this mean everything would be A-ok for us if all of a sudden much of the Earth's surface is covered with molten rock again?
