Both are business men who turned to politics. Trump supported Mitt during his 2012 presidential run both financially and publicly. Mitt accepted Trump's money and public endorsement then. Now, Mitt is doing everything within his power to trash and stop Trump. Why? What does Mitt have against Trump?

Romney and the Neocons are afraid of being prosecuted for corruption.

Bitter Mitt is still bitter over not winning the nomination in 2008 and losing the election in 2012.

Mitt is irrelevant.

mitt never satisfactorily explained why and how he supported obamacare style healtcare for Mass. He has relevance. Only if mott went obama like he does Trumpo he might have been elected. Mitt is the repub, dumb as a rock, poster boy, who now wants to make an issue of the guy he darn near fondled to beg his support.

Go away mitt. no one wanted you then and they don't want you now. you had your chance to speak and failed.

I think it is a bit of elitism... Mitt thinks he is better than Trump and can't stand someone "beneath" him that is more popular with the public....

He was on a good roll until he let Crowley steamroll him.

Mitt Romney got paid by someone to take down Donald Trump. The problem is Mitt Romney is a phony himself. His 2012 election had more to do with people getting fed up with Obama than liking Mitt Romney. All Mitt had to do is run with it but he sabotage his own campaign at every turn.

Which is why he refused to release his tax records. Much like Trump.

If you search my posting history you will find that I have in the past repeatedly said that not releasing your tax records means you should not be voted in, this was before Trump was even in the running.

Romney, the RNC establishment, Speaker Ryan, various republican politicians, and super pacs funded by the elites, have tried in every way to stop Trump's nomination because they view Trump as a threat to their unbridled power and wealth. Trump is unpredictable to the elite who have run this country for their own benefit, making many of these politicians multi-millionaires while in office, to the detriment of the people for decades.

By the way, Bernie is also a threat for the same reason to the elites. Even with limited funds and the DNC leadership solidly against him, he has made an amazing connection with voters and performed in the elections well ahead of anyone's prediction.
