Maybe the Democrats will find a way to provide low cost long term care so middle class family savings will remain available to the next generation instead of spent on the Baby Boomers.
Maybe the children and grandchildren of the Baby Boomers will learn a lesson and not do things like living on credit cards and going into debt up to their eyebrows. Perhaps they'll do things like buy good term life insurance and invest in retirement so that the next generation doesn't have to take care of them. I know, personal responsibility is a dirty term to Democrats, but it's a much more likely scenario than the government doing anything to help the middle class.

She's not a natural born citizen so she can't be president. But the Dem party will fall apart the same as the Republicans.

Trump wins in 2016,

Then Trumps tax cuts add $24.5 trillion dollars to our national debt in the following 10 years.
Trump

Flash forward to November 2036... Social Security obligations and Medicare obligations have caused the programs to need more money, but Trump made our national debt so high we can't afford Social Security or Medicare. And our high national debt caused our currency to loose most of its value, countries like China and India have become the producers of high tech goods, and robots and automation have taken 30% of our jobs.

But to republicans none of this matters. The only thing that matters is "supply side/trickle down economics" and to join Trump or Cruz to do the largest income redistribution in American history (from the poor and middle-class of America to the rich.)

SOME Republicans are talking about a Third Party for this year. Those 2 Parties would split the vote.
It sounds like you are conceding this year.
Too many republicans are under the illusion that Trump can win, and they are angry at the GOP because Romney and McCain was terrible candidates.

If Trump loses in a landslide, which I think he will, then many Trump supporters will realize that people like Trump cannot win elections. In 2020 many of them will prefer a more moderate Republican. In addition, the third party contenders are likely to be weaker.

Not really
Harry S. Truman created the Recession of 1949 and Recession of 1953
Lyndon B. Johnson created the Recession of 1969–70
Jimmy Carter created the 1980 recession
Bill Clinton created the dot-com bubble

The only Democrat president who hasn't created any recessions has been John F. Kennedy and potentially Barack Obama.

People are going to be pretty sick of Democrats by 2020, especially if anything happens to the economy. If Republicans nominate someone reasonable in 2020, then they are very likely to win.
That's a big "if"...

The bigots are in the driver's seat...

A future win for the Republicans might be possible but to do that they will have to bring more to the game than the current offering of buffoons .

Well if this is the case the Libertarian Party will be quite a force to reckon with in 2036. I'm sure with decades of Democratic leadership the United States of America for the most part resembles Detroit, Michigan and Black Lives Matter has probably overtaken the NAACP while the Second Amendment has been outright abolished along with the open border policy with Mexico the United States must be an utter hellhole.

Whether they are or not is irrelevant. One party should never be in control for a long period.
