By the time a $15 minimum wage becomes a reality, there may not be any service jobs to fill. Welcome to the tipping point of employee cost vs. technology cost.

A robot will take your order now

Why not ALL Retail Stores too? You won't have to pay Robots Health Benefits, and they won't need to take Lunch or Pee breaks.

I saw that. If it's cost effective to replace $1-$2 hour workers imagine how quickly the tech will advance to replace the bulk of cheap labor here. Welfare rolls will explode exponentially.

Just a small tech team to keep it all running.

That's in Japan. Considering their cost of living in the cities, I'm sure the workers are paid more than the equivalent of $15 an hour.

Besides, have a look at the photograph in the story. Would you feel comfortable giving an order to that thing? I sure wouldn't. It's creepy as hell.

They are doing it in Asia, because Americans are too stupid to operate them, would probably attack them, or just steal them!
