That doesn't happen the other way around does it? There are import duties so they do not sell there.

Are you saying the jeeps from China will not have any import duty on them if they are not really for China and are meant for the US? Why not?
You know what I am saying.

Moving the goalposts, or just poor phrasing in your post that I quoted?

You said "reliable or high-quality", not "more reliable than Honda or Toyota" or "reliable enough to last 20 years or 250K miles".

Unless you're asserting that a car has to last 200K+ miles in order to be considered "reliable", in which case many cars - including some from Honda and Toyota - fall woefully short. None of this addresses "high-quality", either. Go test drive a new Cadillac CTS and tell me it's not "high-quality".

Then show me the evidence that the "average" Honda or Toyota lasts 250K miles. I'm not bashing foreign cars, I currently drive a VW and have owned several Subarus and an Acura in the past.

I don't want to get bogged down in the typically low standards of American car apologists.

But I do note you weren't able to provide any evidence about what you say are "Demonstrably false" claims.
