Ahh yes.. so your thread wasnt serious at all.. it was just another

GOP members are "stupid"

btw, we have 21,000 "new" GOP members in my county, many of them were Democrats.. Did they "suddenly" become stupid when they switched their party affiliation, or were they always dumb?

Hard to say. It seems like Trump is almost trying to throw the election. Just when he starts to surge he will say something that destroys his gains. The comments about the Khan family for example. What he could have said was "I appreciate the sacrifice your son made for our country, and I respect your opinions. The reality is that we need to look hard at who we allow into this country. As Europe is learning a hard lesson as we speak. Our own FBI director has publicly stated that the refugees can not be properly vetted. Until such time that they can be, we need to restrict immigration from regions that are openly hostile towards the United States.

You guys don't get it. Trump wants to lose. Hillary is already going to be our next president.

You guys will see in November.

Yeah that's the feeling I have too. Trump supported Clinton for years. I honestly believe the fix has been in since 2008.

If there is a major Trump collapse before Election Day, then all bets are off. However, as of right now, the answer is "no." If the election were held today, I suspect that Trump would win all of the Romney states other than NC. In the popular vote, I think that Trump would do worse than Romney, but still lose by a smaller margin than Dole or McCain.

A big reason why Trump will not be an electoral disaster (as of right now) is that Clinton has very high negatives. (By contrast, LBJ was very popular in 1964. The Vietnam War was not yet a liability, and LBJ was seen as the continuation of the martyred JFK legacy.) Furthermore, as much as the left does not want to admit this, many Americans are dissatisfied with the way things are going in this country and do not want an Obama third term.

I agree with this as well. What is sad is that so many Republicans fail to realize this.

A very real possibility, but in this election anything is possible.
