Flood victims voice concerns over Red Cross

This is a news story that should get wider coverage. It's why many of my coworkers and relatives don't like the Red Cross.

I've had the misfortune to have a couple of incidents with the red cross and I wouldn't give them the sweat of my, brow (I cleaned it up)

When I went in to the service my grandfather warned me about him due to HIS experience with them in Europe during WWII.

My dad said the same thing about the Red Cross and WWII. I never donate money to them. I give it to The Salvation Army.

As far as Louisiana goes, the Red Cross has almost as many layers of bureaucratic red tape as the government which is why religious organizations and a politician (Trump) have an easier time distributing food and other items.

Good grief! Would they rather the Red Cross not help them? People are so ungrateful.

In the Army, the Salvation Army donated items, like cigarettes to us. The Red Cross sold them to us. If you needed an emergency leave home, the Red Cross expected repayment, the S. A. did not. The head of the Red Cross always garners a large salary. The head of the Salvation Army barely gets anything.
You will find very few veterans who have anything good to say about the Red Cross.

There was a story on the national news of the Red Cross refusing food because it came from volunteers and not the designated suppliers. Meanwhile, victims were going hungry.
