Playing chicken with the lives of others sounds REAL GOOD on the internet. But in truth, no one is scared of you just because you're waving an American flag.

You folks had better wake up. You don't want what you think you want.
the iranian fleas are poking at the american giant, trying to see how far they can go without provoking an armed conflict. at some point they are going to go too far, and then get what they deserve. and it will depend on who is in the white house as to whether or not the do get what they deserve or not.

the iranians have long tried to close the straight of hormuz claiming it to be iranian territorial waters, when the international community recognizes the right of navigation through the passage by all nations. they continue to this day because no one has bothered to slap them down hard, and whack them on the nose like a petulant dog.

No one was playing chicken, they followed the Navy protocol that the situation dictated.

So, because some Iranian boats got close to a US ship, you would attack Iran?

The Iranian military probably posses Russian anti ship weapons that would send the entire US fleet to the bottom.

Its international waters. The Iranians do not own the Persian Gulf.

Liberals would surrender all the oceans and seas to other nations, just to "get along".

The monkey bar jihadists got some boats and got jumpy. Blowing them out of the water and killing them all would be doing them a favor.

Really? Wow. I hope that our Navy has the capability to defend themselves then from that elite fighting force known as the Iranian Navy. We should be thankful that we haven't been attacked.

Putin is just itching to give you Americans a lesson in what he considers Russia's new "sphere of influence". In ten years the new geopolitical powerhouse in the entire region will be Russia and Iran. It's only too obvious the West led by the USA has no desire to get involved in another fiasco like the invasion of Iraq. The strategic importance of the Middle East is far less important to US interests than it has been seen to be in the past. The shift in the focus of American foreign policy objectives to the Asia Pacific region is totally obvious and logical. The importance of that region is far more important to American interests now and will only get more critical in the future. Did it not strike anyone as strange that we didn't even hear a peep out of Washington as Russia began military operations in what heretofore was an American fief!

Oh, don't worry too much about it. We have our ways of dealing with these guys.

https://www.wired.com/2014/11/countd...o-day-stuxnet/

Also, we did sort of violate a so-called allies territory to come in and take out Bin Laden.

I don't think we're quite as wimpy as some people think. Iran isn't bending us over any time soon.

And I just wanted to point out that the primary thing that was keeping Iran in check was fear of Saddam. They've been showing their ass more ever since we took him out. There's nothing like destabilizing a region to create worldwide havoc. Why are we in the middle east again?
