Instead of having potentially two, 4 year terms, what about amending Article 2 and repealing the 22nd Amendment to limit presidents to one 6 year term?
I think this would go a long way to minimize the role of "politics" in how presidents perform their duties, since they won't have another election to worry about, and it will also spare us the agony of having to go through another election after a presidents first term is up, largely at tax payer expense.
I think the benefits would outweigh the drawbacks. What say you?
The (p)resident should serve a term no longer than his/her flesh can stay ablaze for being the authoritarian megalomaniac that one must be to even seek such a position... We don't need anyone who seeks positions of authority over humans in the gene pool.
