Yeah but do we want a president with shaky hands that are close to the big red button?
Ok, I know that Hillary is quick to point out that a man with Trump's temperament shouldn't have nuclear launch capabilities, but it actually isn't exclusively the president's decision. It requires the assistance of the Secretary of Defense to actually fire a nuke. Even if having shaky hands made accidentally pressing the button (I think it's actually a key, but whatever) a possibility, which I'm not so sure it would, it's not like her accidentally pressing it would even do anything unless the Secretary of Defense also just so happened to be doing his part at the same time.
On topic, I actually think that medical issues are a private matter, and this applies to the president. If they wish to share their issues, they may, but if they choose not to, I do feel they are entitled to that choice. For better or worse. If their illness could effect them, they must make the choice themselves. I guess I wouldn't be opposed to some law that would prevent them from running that doesn't require them to publicly say why.
The voters are entitled to know the health of presidential candidates and then reach their own conclusions. Parkinsons is a serious disease which could affect her ability to perform during crises.
Many say well, "this POTUS or that POTUS had this or that", but Hillary is not POTUS, she is vying for the position which makes it a totally different situation. Of those POTUS that were mentioned, how many were elected where the people knew the person had an illness/disability that might effect their performance as POTUS?
In the case of "dementia" being an eventual given from a illness or disease, voters should be informed. Why aren't they? Because the candidate would have no chance of being elected if the people knew.
Maybe we should work on getting a new medical validation law passed for all candidates for president. Until then it is up to the candidate if he or she wishes to release that information.
So far only one candidate has released her taxes and a letter for her doctor that contains real information. Personally I believe the physician that actually examined the patient over internet "doctors" that have never actually examined the patient.
