Seems like his administration has trouble getting things right. Yet another reason for the U.S.' AA community to turn away from monolithic Democrat allegiance. Fractured family units, no jobs, no justice, high murder rates in America's inner cities. Now, this.

President Barack Obama’s signature initiative for Africa -- a $9.7 billion plan to double electricity access in the world’s poorest continent -- has fallen well short of its goals, so far producing less than 5 percent of the new power generation it promised.
Oooh, this has got to hurt the party faithful.

The program’s shortfalls mean that when Obama leaves office, the nation’s first black president and the son of a Kenyan farmer will not be able to claim a legacy-defining endeavor in Africa. By comparison, President George W. Bush’s signature initiative in Africa -- the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR -- provided drugs to fight HIV to more than 2 million people by the time he left office.

Obama is campaigning to tell people you are a racist if you don't save my legacy!

The man is a real narcissist!

Hillary and Obama are attached to the hip and have the same ideology and the same bad views that is costing the world to be where it is right now. Turmoil!

I know. I find it ironic (?) that soooo many of his signature/legacy initiatives are falling short; way short. As many who doubted his 'accomplishments' on his resume are proved correct in their skepticism, the left becomes more and more excuse-laden.

Success is not a weighted average, nor mitigated by others. One either is, or one is not.

Is this just another Obama-hate thread ? History will define his legacy and history has yet to be written. He is hardly the catastrophe that many conservatives seem to have wished for.

In any case the jury is no longer out on Bush's legacy - everyone and their mothers can see the unmitigated disaster he was as a president. He was the Captain of the Costa Concordia - leaving the ship of state after running it into the rocks, him and Cheney, laughing all the way to their respective banks.

Obama seems to have at least outperformed general expectations.

He is not the catastrophe we wished for but rather the catastrophe we wished to avoid.

Minister Farrakahn disagrees with you; at least as far as the black populace is concerned. Yes, he was speaking specifically about the horrendous black on black genocide in Chicago. Though Chicago is an apt metaphor for the failure of the Democrat plantation politics.

Quote:
Farrakhan said the president’s legacy is not with the Affordable Care Act, but is instead “in the street with your suffering people,” describing the crime-ridden culture in Chicago, Obama’s hometown.
Quote:
“If you can’t go and see about them, then don’t worry about your legacy,” Farrakhan charged. “‘Cause the white people that you served so well — they’ll preserve your legacy.”

Outperformed general expectations? LOL. Move the goalposts, much?

ironically obama continued most of Bush's policies (whom you seem to loath) yet here you are praising obama in the same breath. Why should we take you seriously again?

Confusion and ignorance reigns amongst the electorate.

Actually, Obama was worse than Bush...
Quote:
"President Obama" came into office seven years ago pledging to end the wars of his predecessor, George W. Bush. On May 6, with eight months left before he vacates the White House, Mr. Obama passed a somber, little-noticed milestone: He has now been at war longer than Mr. Bush, or any other American president."
