Here is a story that has been ongoing some time and only now is getting notice.

The land appraised at $44-110 million dollars. Owners refused a $5.5 million offer so Air Force "reappraised" for $330,000 in an attempt to steal it. The property is the only private land with a view of Area 51, where the govt develops secret weapons to use against Americans and their other enemies.

As far back as the '50's the family reports attacks by the govt including the fire bombing of one of the mine buildings.

Maybe it is time for Congress and the public demand to know exactly what is going on at Area 51 and or cut funding.

Article from the mainstream Las Vegas newspaper.

It's an interesting story. What type of mine is it and is it active, that's likely the only valuable thing about it if it's a profitable mining business? I'm finding it hard to believe it worth $44+ million dollars. I've driven through that area and it's just an empty wasteland. The land out there is not worth a dime.

Should they be compensated for health reasons, possibly, but that is a different question entirely.

What happens at Area 51 is always intriguing. Hopefully they declassify it all, or most, someday.

The border wall is stealing land from thousands. Land that has been in the family longer than the USA has been in existence. No outrage from that. Trump loves stealing land from citizens & been doing it for over 40 years.

The government throws so much money away, I hate to hear when they try to steal from land owners.
