There is a decent chance that trump will get impeached, and even most republicans don't like him. I think pence and the republicans will want him to get impeached and then pence would be president.

I honestly believe at his point the right is usingTrump to slam through thier agenda and take all the hits on the unpopularity of it all so he can be the boogeyman. Then they will bo Nice him out on one of his many clear problems. Then Pence can assume the throne and go after the gays with Ryan as veep and heir apparent.

If I were Pence; I would surely want that. First off, I would be tired of trying to spin his crap every week and secondly, of course Pence wants to be President.

Pence is the puppet of the GOP establishment. If the GOP powers want Trump impeached, then Pence will go along with the program without getting any blood on his hands, because he's a seasoned politician.

This is another thing, how much longer can Pence, McConnell, Ryan, etc go around defending the incredibly absurd things that come out of Trump's mouth without looking like total clowns? At some point, even Kellyanne isn't going to have any legit excuses left up her sleeve.

I estimated in another thread that they will dump Trump sometime in early-mid 2018. They have to give him some leeway due to the cult like following he has among the GOP base but eventually they will tire of the manchild and his toddler like behavior.

Anyone know any reports of VP Pence actually doing anything other than standing by Trump while EOs get signed?

If Google "Pence" the top related link I get right now is

With Mike Pence gone, fellow Republicans undo his work in Indiana

Yeh.. I know VP is usually behind the scenes. But usually you get something right after an election turning over the White house to another party.

If you listen to Pence it is clear that he thinks Trump is a moron. He needs Trump to get to were he wants to go. The rest of the establishment pubs feel the same way about Trump but they have to acknowledge that it was Trump who allowed them to hold on to their jobs. There is no doubt in my mind that most republicans would prefer Prence as commander and chief. Trump could careless about the legacy of the republican party. He is in it for Trump and if anyone else gets damaged...oh well.

He is classic VP material. He wouldn't be much of a candidate in the lead role, but likewise the opposition may have nothing.

Isn't Trump refilling the swamp with political cronies fast enough for the GOP?
