For that money it would be financially prudent to get yourself a disease.

Yeah, your county is relatively expensive...more expensive than Marin (at least with my 'stats')...but not as bad as Phoenix.

When I saw the thread started by JimJ in AZ about the 125% increase, I looked up (on Friday) the cheapest bronze estimate for me (non smoker, much older than you) for my county in TX, Clark County/Las Vegas, NV, and Maricopa County/Phoenix, AZ. Later, another poster pointed out to me how to find the preview on Covered California...so I looked up Marin (where I lived before moving to Texas). A few minutes ago I looked up your area (I remember you mentioning in a past post that your house is in or near the Dr. Phillips area).

Cheapest Bronze for me:

My county (Montgomery) in TX: $445 per month
Clark County (Las Vegas) in NV: $377 per month
Maricopa County (Phoenix)--AZ: $777 per month
Marin County---------------in CA: $534 per month (might have been $537, but < $540)
Orange County-------------in FL: $545 per month

Strange. Usually when government takes over costs do way down and we receive a lot of our money.

Get rid of Obamacare.

you have to pay these ridiculous prices and congressional employees have exempted themselves from obamacare.

rates are much higher than that in many areas. illegal immigrants are a huge burden on the system so if you want to reduce costs -- something has to be done about it. education costs also.

Considering the lies Barack Obama told -- while pimping Obamacare -- about the details surrounding his own mother's death, nothing would shock me about the rate increases.

It's evident that this was a poorly-conceived piece of legislation, almost as poorly-conceived as the loser it is named after.

$4000 a year in premiums is ridiculous for a 29 yr. old male non-smoker. And the OP didn't even tell us what the deductibles or co-pays are.

Remember folks when you go to vote:

Every single thing the R's said would go wrong with Obamacare did go wrong.

And everything the Ds said about Obamacare was lies and deceit.
