Obamacare the insurance is just a different colored duck to most all docs.
But the HC reform has a whole lot more in it for docs, and the biggie is the EMR.
The EMR is not 'exactly' paperwork per se, but that has placed a new and huge burden on the backs of many docs. And huge and appropriate complaining for those docs that have had difficulties adapting to the new technology.
For docs using the better software and more comfortable with technology less a problem. For newer docs like my daughter a 3rd year medical resident, who has 'grown up' with the EMR, also less of a problem.
For primary care docs who more fully adapt, there has been better pay.
